UNM Hospital Critical Care Tower

Overview

The UNM Hospital Critical Care Tower represents a significant expansion of the University of New Mexico Hospital campus and a major achievement for WPI. Completed over the course of four years, this complex healthcare project required extensive coordination, technical expertise, and a steadfast commitment to quality, safety, and schedule. The finished facility stands as a testament to collaboration and craftsmanship on one of the region’s most demanding hospital construction projects.

Our Work

Scopes: Drywall, Light-Gauge Metal Framing, Acoustical Ceilings, Hollow Metal Door Frames, Sound Panels, Exterior Fiber Cement Panels, Interior TRESPA Panels, Interior Stainless-Steel Panels, 3M Di-Noc Wood Grain Wall Coverings

WPI provided a comprehensive scope of interior and exterior specialty construction services throughout the tower. Our team delivered multiple highly technical systems that required precise installation and seamless integration with other trades. Each scope demanded careful planning and execution to meet the stringent requirements of a modern healthcare environment.

Despite complex installation challenges, our crews consistently delivered precise work while maintaining a clean and safe jobsite. Close collaboration with project partners and other trades ensured that each system was installed efficiently and aligned with the overall project goals.

Result

The completed UNMH Phase III Tower reflects the professionalism, skill, and dedication of everyone involved. WPI successfully delivered a wide range of specialty systems on time and to the high standards expected of a state-of-the-art hospital facility.

We are proud of our team’s performance and grateful to our partners and stakeholders whose collaboration made this achievement possible. The UNMH Phase III Tower will serve patients, staff, and the community for years to come.
