The HUB – Student Housing, also called The 515 is a state of the art 12-story residential housing project for students of the University Of Oregon. This project has many different features that were all designed with students in mind. From multiple swimming pools, outdoor BBQ and lounge areas to indoor game rooms, workout, sun tan, and sauna rooms this student housing project has all the amenities of a five star resort. Located right off the main road through Eugene, Oregon.
The HUB has 230,000sf of living space across twelve floors. Multiple 1,2,3,4,5 bedroom units on each floor. Each one of these units have open living room and kitchen arrangements that support multiple students living together. The 2nd Floor is one of the main floors that house the amenities. The Roof area is designed for large groups of people who like outdoor living.
The construction of this project had a very aggressive schedule that included only ten days per floor for framing, hanging, and taping. The project was built during the wet part of the year in Eugene, while access in and out of the project was very limited as it was located right next to a busy street. WPI worked with John Hyland Construction as the General Contractor on this project, performing the framing, drywall, taping, acoustical fabric panels, and fire stopping on the project.
Scopes: Light Gauge Framing, GWB, Insulation, and Fire Stopping.
