Pacific Source Headquarters is a state-of-the-art training facility with an impressive 400,000 SQFT of floorspace spread out over two stories. The building’s design offers an innovative approach to provide the best customer service and medical insurance support possible. The space serves as a calm and relaxing environment for over 2,500 employees. Incorporated in the design are multiple administrative offices, a call center and a multitude of training rooms.
As the building progressed, WPI was asked to work in tandem with the architect (GBD) to help bring their vision to life. WPI helped engineer the header system for the interior framing. This provided cost savings to the Pacific Source owner and the general contractor (Swinerton).
All scopes: Interior framing, exterior framing, drywall, acoustic ceilings, metal perf panels and wood ceilings.
WPI installed roughly 123,798 SQFT of acoustic ceiling, 4,722 SQFT Metal Perf panels and 2,072 SQFT custom wood finished ceilings. Our team also framed and finished approximately 14,400 LFT walls of various designs and types. There is a skylight that runs approximately 1/8 of a mile and sits 33 feet off the floor. Our crew installed soffits along the entire length of it on both sides. WPI also framed and finished the exterior sawtooth skylights. These skylights are centrally located and open to both levels of the building and this allows natural sunlight to shine through. Flowing custom wood staircases give access to the first and second floors.
The project, which was originally a tenant infill, turned into one of the largest remodels the general contractor has had. It took a lot of coordination to stay on task for the completion of this hasty eight month schedule and maintain quality for the high-end finishes on the project. There were multiple changes during the construction process and our team was always happy to step in and assist the GC wherever needed. The new Pacific Source Headquarters will be a great place for professionals to learn, network and advance their careers for years to come.
