Job Description:

The Inventory Manager is responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing inventories. Their main duties include ensuring inventory counts are accurate and up to date, logging all inventory movements in an organized spreadsheet or computer system, flagging shortages to Purchasing, partnering with Manufacturing to expedite delivery of materials, oversee an organized inventory location scheme, and ensuring that quantities of FGI, direct materials, and consumables are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective inventory location and tracking system.
  • Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
  • Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
  • Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
  • Partners with Logistics Specialist to manage deliveries and shipments to optimize operations.
  • Communicates with Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations teams to meet business goals.
  • Develops business relationships with consumables suppliers and implements VMI when feasible.
  • Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures.
  • Monitors demand and analyzes space planning to anticipate future storage and logistical needs.
  • Maintains timely and accurate inventory data.
  • Develops Inventory department metrics and reports on inventory levels and procedural efficiency to upper management.
  • Receiving and delivering of special orders to the appropriate departments.
  • Ensure that all part numbers match and the quantity noted on packing slips and that any special storage instructions are followed.
  • Adheres to all applicable safety procedures and OSHA regulations for material handling.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Location / Hours:

On site in Salt Lake City, UT. Day shift, 40 hours per week.

Basic Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies
  • Previously conducted cycle counts, year-end inventory counts, and data analysis
  • Familiarity with setting up inventory locations

Preferred Requirements:

  • AA or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management
  • Product and Inventory management certification
  • Ability to grow into people management role

Position Summary:

Western Partitions Inc. (WPI) is seeking an experienced and results-driven Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our fabrication and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for managing project schedules, fabrication Takt time, product assembly, powder coating, shop safety, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency, ensure high-quality production, and maintain a safe and well-organized shop environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication & Manufacturing Management: Oversee all fabrication processes, including material preparation, assembly, and powder coating, ensuring production meets quality and efficiency standards.
  • Manufacturing Output Oversight: Oversee manufacturing output to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
  • Manufacturing Output Capacity Planning: Develop manufacturing output capacity plans to align with production goals and support future growth.
  • Facility Capacity Management & Scaling: Manage and scale up facility capacity to support increased production demands and future business expansion.
  • Project Scheduling: Develop, manage, and optimize project schedules and fabrication Takt time to meet production goals and delivery deadlines.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with outsourced vendors to align with project schedules and production requirements.
  • Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean Six Sigma principles and other process improvement methodologies to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
  • Shop Setup & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the manufacturing shop is properly set up, organized, and maintained; oversee the maintenance and repair of all production equipment.
  • Safety & Compliance: Develop and enforce shop safety protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Lead and develop the manufacturing team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to enhance performance and skill development.
  • Cost Management: Monitor budgets, and labor efficiency to optimize profitability and cost control.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to align manufacturing processes with overall business goals.
  • Manage client customer relations and expectations.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; or a minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies (certifications preferred).
  • Experience with MES software and ability to drive key manufacturing metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience in project scheduling and Takt time optimization.
  • Knowledge of shop safety protocols, OSHA standards, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, ensuring alignment across departments.

Job Description:

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual to manage incoming and outgoing shipments. This role is critical in ensuring accurate inventory control, material availability, invoice reconciliation, timely shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining a smooth flow of materials into and out of the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies
  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices
  • Prepare and pack outgoing shipments accurately, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal Logistics Coordinator to arrange for movement of goods.
  • Work closely with Inventory Manager to do cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Log and document all received and shipped items in the inventory management system.
  • Coordinate with carriers for pickups, deliveries, and tracking of shipments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping/receiving area.
  • Report and resolve shipping errors, damages, or shortages promptly.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment (if certified).
  • Communicate effectively with other departments, suppliers, and logistics providers.
  • Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers.
  • Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental management policies and systems.

  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations preferred.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
