Job Summary

The QAQC Inspector is responsible for performing quality assurance and quality control inspections on manufactured products prior to delivery to project sites. This role serves as the final line of quality verification, ensuring compliance with company standards, vendor quality requirements, and customer specifications. The position will also compile and report quality metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives. This role collaborates closely with the Quality Manager and manufacturing teams. This role is in the southern Columbus area. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control Oversight: Supervise day to day quality control activities in the following areas: 
    • assembly, shipping/receiving, vendor finished goods, ensure proper execution of in-process and final inspections
  • Customer & Site Issue Resolutions: Serve as a point of contact (POC) for issues noted by customers.  Monitor infeed customer feedback daily to help provide rapid response to needs on installations sites. 
    • procure materials, coordinate vendor needs with in-house teams, coordinate shipping, partner with Project Managers if installation is required, escalate issues or trends to the QAQC Program Manager 
  • Inspection & Calibration Management: Manage inspections within applicable jurisdictions, establish criteria and perform calibrations on measurement tools, ensure proper execution of in-process and final inspections, input all inspections into internal and bridged systems, perform inspections in rotation to support operations teams  
  • Non-conformance & Corrective Actions: Investigate non-conformances in collaboration with the QAQC team, support implementation of corrective actions to enhance product quality, establish inspection criteria for calibrated tool inspections, perform calibrations on tools 
  • Documentation & Standards: Assist in generating and maintaining documentation aligned with ISO 9001 standards, define quality standards and ensure document control
  • Team & Communication Support: Support production teams in meeting quality targets, communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers
  • Final Approval: Serve as the last checkpoint for quality before products are released for delivery to site.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3+ years in QA/QC inspection or manufacturing quality roles.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in quality reporting tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills for remote collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Familiarity with ERP/QMS systems.
  • Familiarity with Mechanical and Electrical Systems
  • Certification in quality auditing or inspection (e.g., ASQ CQI).
  • Experience in quality control, inspection, and ISO 9001 documentation preferred

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Assembler to join our team in assembling structural component frames for data centers. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills for cutting and measuring materials, mechanical aptitude for bolting and securing components, and the ability to read and interpret assembly drawings. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality control procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble structural frames and components according to assembly drawings and specifications.
  • Use hand and power tools to cut, measure, and fit materials to precise dimensions.
  • Secure components using bolting, fastening, and other mechanical techniques.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to quality control checklists.
  • Inspect finished assemblies for accuracy, alignment, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance assembly processes and productivity.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in carpentry, mechanical assembly, or a related trade.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
  • Good communication skills and ability to complete documentation accurately.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials as needed.

Position Overview

The Product Design Engineer is responsible for the design and development of manufactured equipment for mission-critical facilities. This is an individual-contributor role focused on creating integrated, modular, and prefabricated equipment solutions. The Product Design Engineer works at the intersection of product design, manufacturing, and data center construction, ensuring that designs meet the technical requirements of data centers while being optimized for manufacturing and assembly. The primary focus of the role is designing technology products related to data center construction, such as hot aisle containment and other prefabricated systems.

The role requires a working knowledge of data center functions, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and technology systems, or the ability to develop it, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality, well-coordinated designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design new hot aisle containment solutions for data centers that is modular, prefabricated, and tailored to specific client needs.
  • Develop and refine manufactured equipment solutions for mission-critical environments, focusing on manufacturability and ease of integration.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and timelines for assigned products.
  • Collaborate with project management and other stakeholders to define product requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct research to identify new product opportunities and technology trends.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Participate in product testing and validation activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners.
  • Collaborate closely with the Engineering and Manufacturing departments to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with production capabilities.
  • Incorporate knowledge of data center functionality, including structural frames, mechanical cooling system, electrical distribution (rackbus, tap boxes), and technology infrastructure.
  • Attend client meetings and refine design based on client requirements.
  • Validate design through prototype, pre-production and first-of-kind builds, conducting DFx and value engineering analysis through each step and updating design and documentation.
  • Produce comprehensive documentation of designs, including detailed product submittals and technical specifications.
  • Create and maintain 3D models for coordination with other trades and for use in presentation materials for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and client-specific requirements for mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related engineering field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in product design, mechanical design, or product development engineering.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with data center construction and an understanding of data center functionality (structural, mechanical, electrical, and technology).
  • Software Proficiency: Knowledge of Inventor, SolidWorks or other 3D design software. Knowledge of Revit or ability to learn. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Bluebeam Revu

Preferred

  • Experience with, or working knowledge of, data center construction and functionality (structural, mechanical, electrical, and technology systems).
  • Experience in the design and manufacturing of modular or prefabricated systems.
  • Familiarity with mission-critical infrastructure and the unique requirements of hyperscale data center clients.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and client teams.

Work Environment & Travel

This position is based in Portland or Salt Lake City.

Occasional travel is required to visit jobsites, manufacturing facilities, and client locations to support project coordination and product deployment.
