Job Description

The BIM Coordinator’s objective is to provide mentorship for BIM Technician personnel, while successfully completing their assignments to WPI’s standards. The BIM Coordinator should be able to work most assignments and projects with minimal supervisory assistance.

  • Understand and comply with all WPI policies, procedures, and corporate safety program.
  • BIM Modeling for drywall framing construction.
  • Work under direction of WPI Project Manager, WPI Project Foreman and BIM Department Manager & BIM Lead.
  • Ensure construction documents accuracy based on discipline BIM Modeling.
  • Collaborate and Coordinate with BIM service providers and Subcontractors.
  • Produce various documents or drawings for various requirements to support the project and field team.
  • Responsible as “Model Administrator” for assigned projects.
  • Identify conflicts, incomplete or ambiguous design information.
  • Collaborate & coordinate with project team to subcontract assignments to outside vendors.
  • Adhere to BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.
  • Follow BIM content standards and development procedures.
  • May take the lead on developing some discipline specific BIM modeling content for project.
  • Create new library components (under the supervision of BIM Lead or BIM Manager/Director).
  • Print drawing sets for professional team and participate in discipline reviews.
  • Prepare own discipline model and/or content for BIM Coordination Meetings.
  • Ability to export DWG, NWC and other formats for collaboration internally and externally.
  • High level of communication and good writing skills.
  • Leveraging BIM software and tools as a methodology to coordinate design documentation.
  • BIM Content Development for the project.
    • Create models related to WPI work.
      • Develop models to illustrate contractor questions and solutions.
      • Keep BIM revision log.
      • Distribute new and revised models showing changes and RFI answers.
    • Provide Field Coordination Support.
      • Evaluate construction installations relative to 3D coordinated models.
      • Prepare “shop drawing” level 2D Drawings & 3D models for self‐performed work.
      • Model constructibility issues and solutions for self‐performed work.
      • Calculate quantities for material orders and crew work planning, as requested.
      • Produce dimensioned drawings from the model.
      • Participate in job layout driven by 3D model data.

 

Requirements

Basic Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience actively using Revit & Navisworks and be able to demonstrate good working knowledge.

Job Summary:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing project scheduling and manufacturing coordination to ensure timely and efficient project execution. This role plays a critical part in aligning the manufacturing team, logistics team, and procurement team to meet project delivery dates. The Project Coordinator will facilitate communication between stakeholders, manage logistics of deliveries to the site team, and assist with monthly billings through inventory management. Additionally, they will be responsible for running weekly team meetings and resolving issues between manufacturing and site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure alignment with manufacturing timelines and delivery commitments.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to track progress and address any delays affecting project deadlines.
  • Manage the logistics of delivering materials and equipment to the site team efficiently and on time.
  • Organize and lead weekly team meetings with manufacturing, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues between manufacturing and site teams to maintain smooth project execution.
  • Assist with monthly billings by managing inventory and ensuring accurate documentation of materials and deliveries.
  • Collaborate with procurement to monitor material availability and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications by interpreting and verifying Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Fabrication, and Architectural drawings.
  • Maintain clear and organized documentation of project progress, issue resolutions, and key milestones.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure transparency and coordination across teams.
  • Manage client customer relations and expectations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, project engineering, construction, or manufacturing coordination.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Fabrication, and Architectural drawings.
  • Proven experience in scheduling, logistics coordination, and team collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and resolve issues proactively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and inventory management systems is a plus.

Job Description

This position is an integral part of our Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values. The Regional Safety Coordinator’s objective is to provide a safe and healthful workplace. They shall administer the WPI Safety Program in a manner that promotes a trusting and team-oriented environment for all workers. 

  • Be and be seen as the single point EHS Contact for the Region/area.
  • Facilitate Safety and Equipment training in the Region/area.
  • Facilitate the incident investigation process to ensure root-cause identification, corrective action implementation, and sharing of lessons learned in the Region/area.
  • Routinely audit all projects in the Region/area.
  • Ensure 100% compliance to WPI Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Foster the Injury Free Environment by developing positive relationships with office staff, project management, Foremen, General Contractors, Subcontractors, and trade workers.
  • Facilitate implementation of the Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan.
  • Facilitate the drug and alcohol testing program as required.
  • Develop, review, and or approve Job Hazard Analysis and Pre-task plans.
  • Perform and formally document Project safety Audits and drive to resolution any action items noted.
  • Ensure WPI fully complies with EHS Program, Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Publish written reports in a format that is directed by the Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Director.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge. Guide and promote safe work performance on the job sites by visiting the sites and answering questions, providing support in proper tool and PPE selection, and ensuring trade workers understand how to perform the task in a safe manner.
  • Be proactive in meeting with GC Safety Managers to ensure goals are met for improvement of both companies’ safety cultures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Must possess one of the following: a degree in occupational health and safety, or a BCSP certification of CHST, SMS, ASP, or CSP, and a minimum of 3 years working as a construction safety professional.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of EHS programs, practices, and regulations within the region.
  • Must develop a general understanding of the business, including our market and clients.
  • Must be able to identify resources and gather and organize data from multiple sources, including conducting independent research on regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize personal workload and recognize priority conflicts and seek guidance for resolution.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.

The Regional Safety Coordinator is supervised by the NV-AZ Safety Manager and reports to the Reno Operations Manager.

Job Description

The Senior Structural Engineer is a high-level position for an individual with previous work experience in cold formed steel framing who holds a professional engineer license in a state that WPI operates in. The primary responsibility will be preparing construction drawings for a wide variety of projects involving cold formed steel. Major WPI projects include exterior curtain walls, interior partitions and ceiling, prefabricated wall panels, structural ceilings, and data center containment. Our major industries are healthcare, higher education, mission critical data centers, and other commercial construction.

This is a unique role in that you will be working directly with the project foremen, superintendents, and project managers who are also your co-workers. This position bridges the gap between engineering and construction. If you are interested in working more on the construction side of the industry, this position may be right for you.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Expert knowledge of cold formed steel design. Including but not limited to curtain walls, load bearing walls, floor and ceiling framing, connections, and AISI standards.
  • Strong familiarity with cold formed steel construction methods.
  • Strong familiarity of structural steel member and connection design including AISC standards. Familiarity with anchor bolt design according to ACI 318.

To assist and support the Project Manager and Jobsite Foreman in the administrative function at the assigned location(s). This position will begin at a jobsite in McCarran, Nevada.

 

Summary

This position will be part of the site operations team. The Site Administrator will assist in the completion of various functions including, but not limited to, payroll distribution, new hire safety orientations, document control and data entry. The selected candidate will also serve as the Onsite Coordinator to assist WPI employees and serve as a liaison between the site and the WPI Sparks office on employee and jobsite issues.

Job Description

The BIM Designer’s objective is to produce accurate models or drawings based on WPI’s area of work. The BIM Designer should be able to work most assignments and projects with minimal assistance. The Designer reports directly to the BIM Manager. Other work will include:

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Welding Inspector to join our team. The Estimator/Project Manager is accountable for plan takeoffs, setting estimated costs, and preparing bids and budgets. This position will oversee project operations at the regional office or jobsite and accomplish project objectives by planning, scheduling, and executing project activities throughout each phase to completion.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Scheduler with hands-on experience using Primavera P6 to develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules across multiple phases of construction. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timelines are met and resources are efficiently allocated. This job will be primarily remote with some travel to regional offices as needed. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Integrate schedules from various subcontractors and vendors into the master schedule.
  • Monitor progress, identify schedule variances, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Work with project teams to update and revise schedules based on field progress and design changes.
  • Conduct regular schedule reviews and provide reports to stakeholders.
  • Perform critical path and risk analysis.
  • Ensure scheduling complies with contract requirements and industry standards.
  • Support delay analysis and claims as needed. Measle maps and constraint impact tracking.   
  • Create man-loaded schedules.  

 

Qualifications:

  • AA or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in construction scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project sequencing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex schedule data clearly to various audiences.
  • Familiarity with MS Project, Excel, and reporting tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and cost/schedule integration is a plus.

 

Preferred Attributes:

  • Certification in Planning & Scheduling (e.g., PSP from AACE).
  • Experience in [commercial/residential/infrastructure/industrial] construction.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

SUMMARY
As a Construction Systems Analyst, you partner with the Construction Systems Manager to improve corporate processes and implement construction management systems at WPI. You play a key role within our Operations Team, ensuring that the proper applications and processes are employed for success. You identify areas of business need, determine stakeholder requirements, identify potential solutions, make recommendations based on research, and drive implementation success. You innovate by finding areas where efficiency can be improved and drive changes that move the organization forward. You leverage construction industry knowledge, AEC software experience, good judgment, and problem-solving skills to execute WPI operations. Your ability to make smart decisions under pressure and resolve complex challenges make you a key member of the Operations Team. You pay attention to detail and take a disciplined approach to documenting processes and procedures. You are focused on operational excellence, continual process improvement, and customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as liaison between Operations, Information Technology, and Helpdesk
  • Evaluate training options for new solutions and process changes, create training deliverables if necessary, and create training schedules.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to document operational processes and solutions to standardize across departments and regions at WPI.
  • Monitor operations systems and identify areas where technology or process changes can improve workflow.
  • Capture departmental software requirements and evaluate available software solutions.
  • Make recommendations regarding process or software changes to project stakeholders.
  • Assist with software vendor relations, pricing, contracts, and invoicing.
  • Keep abreast of AEC industry best practices in the areas of construction management software solutions and operations optimization.

MINIMUM JOB EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS in Construction Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, Software Development, or similar.
  • Depending on the candidate, equivalent industry experience may substitute for a college degree.
  • Previous experience working for an AEC software firm or in a systems analyst for a construction firm.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High degree of knowledge with AEC industry ERP, estimating, and construction management systems such as: Viewpoint Vista, Procore, Plangrid, On Center Software, Autodesk Build, Openspace, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, and PowerBI.
  • Must be able to diplomatically gather consensus and outline the reasons for change to a variety of audiences.
  • Exceptional written and interpersonal skills are essential along with the ability to interact with all levels of the corporation.
  • Proven ability to prioritize a constantly shifting workload and collaborate with multiple departments.
  • Ability to create a project schedule and lead a project to successful completion.

Job Description

The Estimator/Project Manager is accountable for plan takeoffs, setting estimated costs, and preparing bids and budgets. This position will oversee project operations at the regional office or jobsite and accomplish project objectives by planning, scheduling, and executing project activities throughout each phase to completion.

  • Understand and comply with all WPI policies, procedures, and corporate safety program.
  • Actively participate in the safety plans and measures of the assigned projects.
  • Manage projects from start to finish.
  • Working with our other departments, put together complete estimates.
  • Review drawings, specifications, bid forms, and other paperwork to prepare detailed proposals.
  • Communicates with the client during the bidding phase and on any modifications of a project.
  • Assess budget and plan profitability status and objectives.
  • Ask feedback on corrective actions to enhance the continuous identification and reliability of cost figures.
  • Thoroughly analyze different areas of a project to collect relevant data.
  • Participate in job walks to assess site conditions to inform a reliable and realistic bid.
  • Review contract language, scope of work, and special provisions in the contract. Make sure project team members are aware of these items.
  • Get material, subcontractor, and engineering quotes from at least three (3) separate vendors (project buyout).
  • Prepare RFI’s, submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Price change requests and update the budget promptly.
  • Review the weekly job cost report with the project Foreman and team.
  • Prepare billings and approve invoices for payment.
  • Track progress and spending, ensuring the work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate warranties, O&M’s, and closeout on projects.
  • Complete and be accountable for the job cost control measures through monthly Financial Projections on assigned projects.
  • Provides project team leadership throughout construction project development.
