What’s the best project you’ve ever worked on? Why? Probably the Portland Airport Expansion and Renovation. This job started in the early 90’s and continued through multiple years, phases, and contracts. I was green as grass at the time and thrown into the PM role working in a live airport environment. It was a sink or swim situation. I swam like a bowling ball, but I learned a lot really fast.
Who was the biggest influence in your life? Why? That would be my dad. Working in a family business with your dad as the boss isn’t always pretty or fun, but he made me a better man in all aspects of my life.
What is the last book you read? “The Way of the Peaceful Warrior”
What is your favorite restaurant? Tough one…Andina, Pok Pok, Café Duberry, and many others.
What was your high school mascot? South Salem Saxons
What do you like to do in your spare time? Watch my kids’ sports & activities and vacation near warm blue water.
What job would you do if money didn’t matter? Travel and food tasking like Anthony Bourdain, Andrew Zimmerman, and Guy Fieri.
Favorite song of all time? So many good ones…I will have to go with Guns and Roses – “Estranged”
What is your drink of choice? Rum, fresh squeezed sugar cane and lime juice…my goodness. This drink is hard to get around here so usually all types of beer.
Secret Skill? Wannabe chef. Crab benedict on a croissant anyone?
Name one item on your “bucket list”. Catch a great white shark and then barbeque him. I was haunted by “Jaws” as a kid.
